Day 9 - Maybe Tomorrow Again...

Well, we were hoping to return to finish up paperwork today, but our lawyer called and said they are waiting for documents from Vika's city where she lived. So we are planning on leaving again tomorrow at 7:30am and we'll see what tomorrow holds.

We made the best of it today. We basically relaxed, did a little shopping, caught up on some correspondence, and had dinner with an Ukrainian who is friends with my parents.

If you don't mind, I would like to share with you something that Lord is using to encourage us. On Monday, I read part of Daniel chapter 1. Particularly, I focused in on Dan. 1:9 which says, "And God gave Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs..." And so I prayed that God would give us favor in the sight of those in authority over us. Thus far, every authority has been favorable toward us. I fully recognize that God doesn't owe us anything and that there are no guarantees that we won't run into problems with authority. But thus far we are encouraged and even if God doesn't give us favor with those in authority, we still trust that He is doing what is good for us (Rom. 8:28). Interesting enough, on Monday, Lisa had read Daniel chapter 4 about God's humbling the proud. As we drove to Nizhyn, we chatted about what we read that morning and were encouraged that we had been reading from the say book of the Bible and didn't even know it.

With that said, maybe we should also pray specifically that God will make sure that the authorities are present to complete the documents and the all the documents will be completed. :)

Thanks for Praying & Your Encouraging Notes!
